Barb Skaling came over. We just met last evening when we both volunteered with ca-r-ma on Friday. We manned a fund raising table outside the SuperStore NBLC.
I was so pleased that she came over to visit.
Trites Flower Shop called and asked if I would be home to accept a delivery of flowers. I told Wade there must be some mistake!
Lottie and Livingston Smith sent them from North Sydney NS - what a lovely surprise. The Smiths have two of my cats. Thanks so much Lottie - you made my day! The flowers are lovely.
Kitty Maurey is my neighbour and a volunteer with ca-r-ma. The cats really enjoyed her.
My dear friend Khal, always the good sport, came and helped during the afternoon. He makes good iced coffee too. Behind him is my neighbour Sorcha - she and her brother Carmac came to visit.
This is my friend Josephine Saverese. She and Charlotte certainly have a special bond.
Martha Vowles from Saint John was an unexpected treat! We had a great chat - it's been forever since I've seen her. She is holding little Alice. Alice is nine weeks old. She was a 'failure to thrive' and has never nursed from her mom. For the last nine weeks she has been bottle fed every four hours - it's no wonder I get tired!
Alice has really come along in the last two weeks and her weight and development is now within normal parameters.
If you are looking for the perfect home made kitten milk replacement recipe it's on this blog under 'pages'.
Still Martha and Alice! Martha and Bill have (I think) three dogs and four cats - all much loved and well cared for pets. Most are from the Animal Rescue League in Saint John.
