Sandy came especially to visit Milan this morning -her tummy is huge! Milan is acting as though she is ready to kitten. I have a medium sized cat crate with a heating pad and polar fleece (on the passenger side of my bed) all ready for her to have kittens. She thinks that under my duvet would be more to her liking! Sandy is our cat sitter extraordinaire! The cats love her and bound to the stairwell when they hear her voice.
When the kittens are born they stay on my bed for almost one month so I can keep a close eye on them. The mothers really like me to be close by.
The large framed photograph behind Sandy and Milan is a kitten of one of Elisabeth's early litters, perhaps 1998. Stanya did the portrait! The kitten lives in Bathurst NB with the Eddy/Scott family.
