The babies are born on the passenger side of my bed with my hand in the crate! It's so exciting. Tangerine will want me to 'cut the cord'. I think she feels that I must be included! The crate stays on my bed for two weeks where I will spend a lot of time with the babies and mommy.
My bed is going to be crowded because Plum is due to kitten on the 24th. Cat breeding is not for the faint of heart - by the time the spring kittens are born, I will have no fingerprints - my fingerprints get washed off with water and cleaners! When my fingerprints grow back, my finger tips are tacky. They stick to fine fabric etc. As well, at the height of it all I will be doing two or three loads of laundry every day! I do love breeding cats. They love to be pregnant and to have kittens. Seeing them form close bonds with their kittens is magical - as for the work, bring it on!
