Sam and I went to Calais Maine for the day last Monday at 8am. What a mistake that was! We shopped all day in 80km winds and sheets of rain. We were both soaked. My battery operated cart was soaking wet - I put a shopping bag over it's exposed electronics.
When we cleared customs at St Stephen we realized that most roads were impassible because of flash floods. A customs officer drew us a map of an alternate route. What a trip home. It took more than two hours to go 150km.
In this photo Sam's hair is curly - it was beautifully straight when we left in the morning!
