They are planning a quiet Christmas, so the baby went home with them last evening. Jane is an experienced cat owner and it was love at first site!
Above my bedroom door is a sign that says 'cat'. When I purchased it at Winners (my favourite store), it said 'eat'. We cut off part of the 'e' and turned it into a 'c', painted it blue and put a halogen night light behind it. It's super!
Here's Vernon with the little fellow. He is Jane's Christmas gift.
There he goes down the stairwell in Jane's arms. I miss them when they go. Kittens are always born on my bed. They stay on my bed (on the passenger side!) in a crate with a heating pad for the first three weeks. I am able to monitor the kittens and their mom really closely. The mom loves the personal attention.
It certainly is a bonding experience for me and for the kittens.
