Freia and Marsha are playing with the talking mouse

They have such a good time together. Freia is six months old now, happy and healthy. She broke her jaw in a fall from the table at six weeks old - she didn't land on her feet.  It was hard to keep her safe. I have never had a kitten who climbed like Freia. As a small kitten she climbed on the desks, tables, beds - anything high up was her favourite place!

It was a hard go for a couple of months. She ended up with a serious systemic bone infection, osteomyelitis. Blisters on her head and face caused he to lose her hair - but it's growing back now.
She looked like a sphinx kitten  for a month or so. It was a major ethical issue whether to 'put her to sleep' or try to cure her. I spent several hours a day just with Freia. I am glad I decided not to euthanize her. She enjoys her life and is now a happy, healthy kitten. She has never climbed since her fall, except to get up on my bed to sleep with me.

I find the adult cats pamper her - while she was ill and even now. She is loved by all of us, that's for sure. Marsha and Freia wrestle and sometimes I am concerned about little Marsha. It gets pretty rough. Marsha is the one who instigates the wrestling - she bites Freia's tail! Despite this, they are best of friends.

They are so cute. They take turns playing with it. When one of them catches it and then let's it go, it springs two feet in the air. They are very amused.
