Devon's first time using the scratching post!

All of the cats use this scratching post. Devon is just a baby but she has seen the others use it so she decided to give it a try last evening. I have seen her today four or five times at the scratching post. She is so clever!
My furniture is mostly leather or white damask. There are no scratch marks on my furniture. Persians and Himalayans have a very docile personality and they don't have a need to scratch furniture.
Years ago I had a wonderful female Abysinian cat named Singa. She tore everything I owned apart!
