Milan with her kittens. The babies are nursing well. Milan is a very proud mother. She purrs so loudly that she disturbs my sleep! I'm not sure if there are three males and three females or four males and two females. The litter will be named with an an AVATAR movie theme. My friend Michel Berube is going to pick the names - so far one male will be James and another male will be Cameron! This first photo is my friend Kal holding the two red Persian kittens. I think one is a boy and one is a girl. They are headed back to their nest with a heating pad after their bath.

This is my friend Lise Berube and I drying off two Persians babies after their first bath! One is a black Persian and the other is a black tabby Persian. Milan loves it when I bath her kittens. She really appreciates the help!

This is the black tabby Persian in the bath tub - it's actually a clear glass coffee cup! I use 'no more tears' shampoo for babies and Dawn (blue colour only) for adults. Breeders have been using Dawn dishwashing liquid for shampooing cats for several years - so have groups who rescue sea birds and other sea animals who have been in oil spills. Dawn is donating $1.00 for every bottle purchased for bird and animal rescue. I think they presume Dawn is purchased for use in our kitchens only!

Drying off after their bath!

Lise Berube and Kal Hasan brushing the cats after we had lunch in the kitchen. Kal is grooming Cruikshanks my red Persian male and father of the kittens. Lise is grooming Charlotte. Charlotte is a tortoiseshell Persian - she is expecting kittens on February 17th. Charlotte is Lise' favourite
